The corridors had an extremely unpleasant smell. Wherever I have stayed in the past, I have always been able to have ice delivered to the room without incurring a tray charge as was the case here. Breakfast was seriously poor and when several other guests complained, the chef came out and told them to move along as they were holding things up! We paid £211 for 2 rooms for 1 night and expected much better.

Worst hotel in UK. This hotel needs a complete renovation you could not repair the faults through out. It is dirty and smelly, has dry rot and dampness. I booked 3 rooms and all three were not even a 1 star rating. I complained and was told to spray with air freshener. The on line pictures were taken about 25 years ago.

Location was Great. Room was excellent very clean and done the job. Bar was very cheap and food was super .All in all we had a great time and would defo go again.

Filthy, very old, mouldy, tea stains on walls, corridors piled with unused TV's and furniture, only 1 lift worked and it kept breaking down. Stairs available to 3rd floor but to get to 5th floor you have to use service staircase full of junk...health hazard, surprised health and safety allow it to operate. Breakfast was terrible, cost £10 wouldn't of eaten if given for free!The only plus side is that when we complained we got a better room, but we had to settle for a bed settee as there were no other twins available....it was at least clean which is all we wanted.

This hotel was an absolute disgrace. I wouldn't even allow my dog to stay here. The whole place smelled of sour milk and dampness. We were put in three different rooms, all filthy. Carpets stained, leaking taps in all the rooms we were in. Sheets weren't fresh and certainly didnt look clean. Windows in the rooms were filthy but apparently we should have been grateful to have a window at all as apparently most people didnt. The breakfast was a joke! The glasses that we had were dirty and one was chipped and a big split down it. The coffee was foul. In fact I cant think of a single thing that is positive about this hotel and to be perfectly honest totally shocked that it is allowed to be in operation at all!!!!
